“Brico Bridge” – a chair for connection

As part of the @pastforward_tadaima exhibition, we will present “Brico Bridge” – a chair designed to bring people closer together. In a time marked by conflict and distance, we’ve created a piece that invites conversation, presence, and mutual respect. Made from up to 100% leftover wood, Brico Bridge also tells a story of responsibility – both toward our resources and toward one another.
Its form is simple and uncompromising, but its intention is anything but neutral: Two people sit face-to-face, with the possibility to hold hands, meet each other's eyes, or offer a handshake. Brico Bridge is not political – it’s human. It gestures toward the essential act of meeting, listening, and reaching out.
The name “Bridge” reflects its purpose: a place where people meet. Each chair is unique, composed of surplus wood from our own production. In this way, Brico Bridge becomes a reflection on past and future – on what we carry with us and what we choose to build from it.
Brico Bridge is part of the exhibition Past Forward during 3daysofdesign.
